New House

Epsilon Iota is currently in the process of constructing a new Theta Chi house and stand-alone chapter room. The complex will be a stunning addition to East Carolina University Greek life, the city of Greenville, and will help to keep up with an expanding chapter and a growing demand for fraternity housing.

Led by the House Corporation with direction from the Alumni Association, the new chapter house will be symbol of Theta Chi's presence at East Carolina University for decades to come.

Please consider supporting this cause and the future of Epsilon Iota at ECU. Your contribution will go directly to the Alumni Association and will support furnishings and landscape for the new complex as well as an emergency fund for Epsilon Iota.

Project Details

The new complex, located on West Fifth Street, will replace the current house at 312 E. 11th Street as the home for Theta Chi at East Carolina University. The new residence is a 9,784 square-foot, three-story building capable of housing 20 undergraduates. It will include the following amenities:

  • Ten dormitory suites
  • A study/library
  • A full kitchen
  • A bathroom suite
  • A living/dining room
  • A large garden that will include a donor pathway, a granite Theta Chi Memorial Monument, and a Founder’s Circle Monument

Adjacent to the new house will stand a separate one-story 1,650 square-foot chapter room with a capacity for 190 people. The new chapter house will be a fully contained social area complete with a kitchen, separate men and women’s restrooms, and plenty of storage.
